How much storage and 4G data does a fleet MDVR need?
It depends on the number of cameras, resolution and bitrate, recording hours, retention time and how much video you watch or upload remotely.
Work out storage from the measured bitrate of each channel and add a margin. Most 4G data comes from live viewing, remote playback and uploaded clips; continuous recording stays on the device.

Storage by model
Supported storage differs by model, from SD cards to 2.5-inch HDD/SSD on some MR920 and MR930 configurations; check each recorder's specification.

4G data
Plan a SIM data allowance per vehicle based on how often managers watch live video or download clips.

Measure, then plan
Record a test day with your real settings and measure the file size per channel before choosing storage.
Before you deploy
- Higher resolution and frame rate increase both storage and remote-viewing data.
- Use storage cards and drives within the capacity the recorder supports.
