Using efficient H.265 compression, a 2TB hard drive stores approximately 14 to 20 days of continuous 1080P recording across 8 channels (based on 10 hours daily operation). A 4TB drive doubles retention up to 30–40 days.
Does the MDVR support automatic video downloading when returning to the depot?
Yes. With high-speed 5.8GHz Wi-Fi modules installed, MDVRs automatically connect to the fleet depot Wi-Fi network and offload flagged alarm video clips or daily archives to the local server without consuming cellular 4G data.
Can the MDVR connect to third-party telematics or fleet dispatch platforms?
Yes. In addition to AlwayCare's turn-key CMSV6 cloud platform, our MDVR units support standard communication protocols including JT/T 808 and JT/T 1078, as well as RESTful HTTP APIs for custom telematics software integration.
What type of camera connectors are used on the MDVR?
