MR700-SV is the standard 2-channel unit (Forward ADAS + In-Cabin DSM) with 1x IO output. MR700-PV adds 2x RS232 serial interfaces for third-party telematics integration. Can MR700 connect to third-party MDVRs or existing GPS trackers?
Yes. The MR700-PV, MR700-V3, and MR700-V4 versions feature 2 independent RS232 serial ports and 1 IO output. These allow the dashcam to output alarm events, driver IDs, and sensor flags to existing fleet hardware protocols or accept telemetry commands.
Do external cameras on MR700-V3 and V4 require a separate power supply?
No. Both MR700-V3 and MR700-V4 include built-in 12V-out and 5V-out auxiliary power feeds, allowing external cameras (like CC805, CC670, or CC950) and sensors to be powered directly from the dashcam harness without messy extra power wiring.
How does the driver fatigue vibration cushion work?
The optional vibration cushion (MR700-VC) connects to the auxiliary alarm output. When the DSM camera detects signs of drowsiness, yawning, or prolonged micro-sleep, the dashcam sounds an audible voice alert and simultaneously pulses the vibration cushion to physically alert the driver.
What SD card capacity do you recommend for multi-channel recording?
MR700 supports Micro SD cards up to 512GB using high-efficiency H.265 compression. For 2-channel setups (SV/PV), 64GB to 128GB is standard. For 3-channel (V3) and 4-channel (V4) continuous recording, 128GB to 256GB or 512GB high-endurance cards (SanDisk or Kingston dedicated automotive grade) are recommended.
