UWB or radar: which forklift warning system should we choose?
Choose UWB when people and vehicles can carry tags and you want warnings between specific forklifts and pedestrians; choose radar when you need to detect obstacles without tags.
The UA350 UWB system warns within configurable zones, including alarm-free zones. The R350 77GHz radar detects walls, shelves, people and vehicles from 0.2 to 40 m with three alert levels.

UWB (UA350)
Tag-based warnings between forklifts and people, with configurable alarm and alarm-free zones.

Radar (R350)
Detects obstacles without tags, from 0.2 to 40 m, with one or two radars.

Many sites use both
Radar for obstacles near the forks and UWB for people moving around the site.
Before you deploy
- UWB only warns about people and vehicles that carry a working tag.
- Test both systems in your aisles, racking and lighting before rollout.
