360 Vehicle Camera System: Quotation Questions and Buyer Checklist
360 Camera Buyer Checklist
A 360 vehicle camera system quotation is only comparable between suppliers when it states the same things: the vehicle, the cameras, the recording and the calibration. Use this checklist to write your enquiry. For the system types and parts, read 360 Camera System for Trucks and Buses.

Tell the supplier about the vehicle
| Detail | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Vehicle type | A truck, bus, forklift or trailer needs a different layout |
| Length, width and height | These set camera positions and how much ground the view covers |
| Rigid body or articulated | An articulated combination needs a system planned for it |
| Supply voltage | 12V or 24V decides the power arrangement |
| Number of vehicles and a delivery date | Decides the unit price tier and the install plan |
Ask what the quotation includes
| Item | Question |
|---|---|
| Cameras | How many, which type, and what cable length for each? |
| Control unit | Is it a box with a separate monitor, or an all-in-one monitor? |
| Monitor | What size and brightness, and is it included? |
| Recording | Does the system record, at what resolution and on which storage? |
| Detection | Does the system detect people or vehicles, or is it only a view? |
| Calibration | What markers are needed, who does it and is it included? |
| Support | What is the warranty, and how is a faulty unit replaced? |

Questions buyers ask about 360 camera quotations
Why do 360 camera quotations differ so much?
Camera count, cable length, recording and calibration are not always included. Ask each supplier to quote the same items.
How many cameras does a 360 system need?
A rigid vehicle often uses four. A longer vehicle or one with blind spot detection can use six or more.
Is calibration included?
Ask. It needs markers and time on site, and it may be quoted separately.
Can I choose an all-in-one monitor?
Yes. An all-in-one monitor combines the control unit and the display, while a box system uses a separate monitor.
Can the system record video?
Some models record. The product page lists the resolution and storage for each model.
