AHD or IP vehicle camera: which should we choose?
Choose AHD cameras for most mobile DVR channels, and IP cameras where you need higher resolution over a network connection. Match the camera type to the recorder's inputs.
AHD cameras send high-definition analog video over a coaxial cable. IP cameras send a digital stream over Ethernet. AlwayCare AI MDVRs have mostly AHD inputs plus one IP input, for example 8 AHD + 1 IPC on the MR920.

AHD cameras
1080p cameras such as CC877-AHD20 connect to MDVR AHD inputs.

Mixed inputs
MR920 has 8 AHD inputs plus 1 IP camera input.

IP camera input
MR930 adds 1 IP input to 12 AHD, for an Ethernet camera such as the 4MP CC806-IPC400.
Good to know
- An AHD camera will not work on an IP input, and an IP camera will not work on an AHD input.
- Check cable lengths and connectors before ordering.
