The challenge
Truck drivers spend long hours at the wheel. Fatigue, distraction and speeding are hard to see and stop as they happen. Managers lacked objective data on driver condition, so accident prevention had little data to rely on and it was hard to trace responsibility after an incident.
The solution
AlwayCare driver monitoring devices were integrated into the customer's own platform. When a device detects fatigue, distraction, driver absence or speeding, it sounds an alert in the cab. The customer's platform receives and shows the alarm and saves the alert image. Managers use vehicle position, alarm signals and images to understand driver condition and to work out the management routines that suit their fleet.

Implementation
The solution had to work inside the customer's own platform, with alarms and images sent back to it. The fleet moved in stages from the classic MR688B to the upgraded MR810 and then to the 4G MR830. MR750 is being tested on samples.
Results
The customer completed a large deployment of several driver monitoring models and integrated them into its own platform. Drivers receive real-time reminders for fatigue, distraction, absence and speeding, and the platform keeps the alarm data and images. Managers use position, alarm and image data to analyse driver condition and to set up safety management routines for accident prevention.
