Channel terminology

APC Channels and MDVR Channels Are Different

“APC channels” describe passenger-counting inputs. “4CH” or “8CH MDVR” describes the wider recorder architecture. Confirm both values, the number of doors and all required safety functions before selecting a kit.

Deployment checklist

What Should You Confirm Before Selecting an APC System?

1

How many doors and flows?

Map boarding and alighting points, simultaneous movements and the required APC camera coverage.

2

Standalone or MDVR-integrated?

Choose standalone counting for a focused project or an MDVR kit when recording and safety functions are also required.

3

Which data connection?

Confirm 4G or Wi-Fi, positioning, optional I/O/RS232 and the expected platform workflow.

4

How will performance be validated?

Test the installed system against real doors, lighting, crowd flow and operational reporting rules.

AI Passenger Counter FAQ

What is an AI passenger counter?

It is a vehicle system that processes camera input to count passenger movements and, for listed models, support passenger-type classification workflows.

Which models are standalone?

PC15 is the listed one-channel standalone option and PC16 is the listed two-channel standalone option.

Which model supports the most listed APC channels?

PC28 is listed as a 4-channel MDVR with four APC channels.

Which kits also list DMS?

PC25, PC26, PC36 and PC37 list DMS. PC37 additionally lists ADAS and BSD in its product title.

Is counting accuracy guaranteed for every bus?

No universal percentage is stated on this page. Results should be validated for the actual camera position, doors, lighting and passenger-flow conditions.
